Description

So, this is Scottie. Remember the near dead pony of not long ago?

He's my little superstar, at the end of a great day on sunday.

He came second in the Veteran Class [the winner was very well deserved]
Got a clear round, and came 3rd out of 20+ in the 65cm class, which also had 75cm fences in too.

Not a huge height, I used to do 95cm+ classes with him, but for his age, he did very well.
They had a huge mix up with the rosettes, so he got a 4th instead, however I'm getting that sorted

Well done if you noticed his noseband is too high, I had to make it higher because his flash was coming off his lip, and didnt have a hole punch with me. His flash and noseband were at correct looseness. ;)

So many people were coming up and saying how well he had jumped, and that he was a far better jumper then most of the horses there.

I met my rider's mom for the first time and she also said about how amazingly fast, but careful he jumped. That's just the great thing about Scottie, he calculates the stride all himself.

If you dont know anything about Scottie, please see his other photos and the journal threads about him.. if you want to, of course.

My rider has built up ALOT of confidence in riding him, which in turn, has given her own horses even more confidence. It was only a year ago she was told after a serious operation on her legs, that she shouldnt ride horses anymore, but she has stuck to getting back into it.

My old boy has had a fantastic day out, my rider, Maria, has had a great day out, and for one day, I managed to forget alot of my problems regarding my op and everything linked with it. I wasnt competing, I wanted to be, and I just want to ride again like I used to, but it was a good day.

Hard to believe this is the same horse! Good for you believing in him and giving him such a wonderful new lease on life.
