Okay so first off I have to say that the artwork is amazing and I don't see this level of detail with pencil work everyday, it's definitely refreshing <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>
You really brought out the musculature of the horse well and you can see how structurally it all comes together without it seeming blocky or chunky...it feels natural.
The lighting was really well done and the smudging around the back really brought that out so that was a great choice of visual effect.
I reckon the best feature is the horse's head. It definitely draws the most attention as the mane comes down around the face and the eyes just look really beautiful.

There is only a couple of things I can criticise about this piece. One thing is the back leg where the tail is. Because of the subtle shading you used, the tail sort of merges with the back leg. I think you might need to just outline the back leg a little more to distinguish the separation from the hair that makes up the tail. It'd still work since the outer frame of the back leg is comprised of shadow anyway.
Another thing is the neck (and this is just a thought, as you clearly have done a lot of works on horses and I claim no expertise on them xD). The hump of muscle at the base of the neck probably shouldn't be so pronounced as it is in this picture...it just makes the angle of the head and neck a bit contrived. Again this is based only on observation, I really know nothing about horses xD.
I really liked this one and hope to see more <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>
