I don't think I ever gave you "officially" you feedback from alst CN... so here it's all togehter: the feedback this piece got at #Traditional-Artists's Critique Nights!
I hope it is helpful and you can use it in your future work!
By ~DelphinusArt: "I really like this one. The muscle tone is well-defined, and the anatomy overall is very accurate. The shading goes very well for that type of horse, and the different textures (mane hair, face hair, nose) are well-drawn as well. Also, I like how they did the contrasting colors of the horse so well. The white of the nose area is clearly a different color than the rest of the horse. Also, the overall mood fits the topic/situation."
By ~Elveanna: "Lovely! You did a great job at the textures, the fur really has some grip to it. The anatomy looks right - the ears might be a little too small, but probably that's because there's the paper's edge And the neck might be slightly too thin where it meets the head - but this could also be my crooked view. I like how it expresses so much of the character of a shire horse - strong, and gentle, and good-natured. The eye with the lashes are beautiful! Very, very nice work, just - lovely! "
By *jellysocks: "This image is really well done, you can see the amount of time and effort put into it. I'd say the man is a little to dark and blocky, it would benefit from some lighter, softer strangs to add depth. The ears are also hard to spot, the front of the ears blends in to much to the mane, a light edge around the ear before blending into shadow would help bring them both out. The eye is wonderfully done, I love the little eye lashes. The muscle definition is pronounced well (it's hard to say if more or less would work as this is referenced from a photo) Despite being a small image it's very good!"
~Brunodsp: "I give up.. the drawing is just perfect... hahaha... I have nothing to say ^^"
Thank you for participating and being so patient - you had to wait a long time!
She's just beautiful, how many horse do you have? I just love horses, but I live in the city and life at the moment just doesn't allow me to have one. However oneday....I dream of having a draft horse (Clydesdale). I just adore them, so huge and gentle.
